Moveable Feast
From ReGiftmas - The Holiday That Keeps on Giving
A Moveable Feast refers to the Nobel Prize-winning novel by Ernest Hemingway set in Italy during the Spanish Civil War. The protagonist, Jake Barnes, suffered a psychological wound inflicted by his girlfriend, Emily, when she "regifted" a woolen sweater from Jake to another suitor, Robert Cohn. The insult ultimately resulted in Jake's suicide. The title of the novel, taken from Ecclesiastes, refers to the inconstancy of human affection and the indeterminacy of dating the ReGiftmas holiday.
